Since then, we have introduced portable battery and packaging compliance schemes for the exclusive use of REPIC WEEE scheme members and managed some significant changes to both producer responsibility legislation and the lifetime flows of electrical appliances.
On reaching our three million tonnes milestone we focus on today’s REPIC team, explaining how they ensure we continue to deliver market leading compliance services to you, and represent your best interests.
REPIC’s Executive directors, Louise Grantham, Mark Frakes and Graeme Milne, manage the day to day running of our compliance schemes, actively engaging in the sector and ensuring you continue to receive cost effective and quality services. They are supported by our eight Non-Executive directors, nominated by scheme members, meaning REPIC remains an organisation that is led by, and represents, producers.
All of the REPIC team contribute to the services you receive but two specifically focus on supporting you – Members Services – Laura Crehan and Janette Ollerhead. Laura manages the collection, treatment and reuse services we provide to support your takeback activities and Janette provides advice and guidance on your producer responsibility obligations.
The Commercial team manages our national network of collection points and service providers, which encompasses a wide range of organisations including local authorities, retailers, waste management companies, transport providers, treatment facilities and reuse organisations. They ensure we meet the service standards expected by our collection point partners and that waste is collected, treated and recycled in accordance with the appropriate standards, giving you peace of mind. The Commercial team is headed by Andy Kellar, supported by Simon Hill, Chris Jackson, Roxanne Carswell, Daniel Hallworth and Sarah Locke.
Our Business Information team is responsible for REPIC’s regulatory reporting, of both our collections and recycling activity and your placed on the market data. They undertake data and market analysis and produce a wide range of reports and KPIs that support the smooth operation of our compliance scheme. Their work also allows us to make evidence backed contributions to discussions about the development of the UK producer responsibility regime. Callum Murphy heads the team, supported by Jack Studholme, Charlotte Makin and Grace White.
As well as meeting our external corporate and financial governance responsibilities, the Finance team ensures you remain informed about your battery, packaging and WEEE financing obligations, including assisting in budgeting for these. They also undertake extensive analysis of our operational cost, allowing opportunities for continuous improvement to be identified. Katia Chadwick heads the team, supported by Adam Roscow, Andy Davies, Ben Froggatt, Jodie Boyce and Gwen Raikes.
Our team of specialists engage with the wider sector in relation to our environmental and CSR activities, ensure we operate to the appropriate standards, have the right IT infrastructure in place to support our business activities, and look after the welfare of our staff through providing support and training. Our specialists are Sarah Downes, External Affairs Manager, Vikki Law, Compliance and Quality Manager, Lindsay Sweeney, IT and HR Manager, and Russell Langhorn, Process Manager.
Mark your calendars for the 11th and 12th of September and get ready to make the most of your time at the Resource & Waste Management (RWM) Expo.
